Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Spartan Networks?
Because with us you're not just an account number or a dollar sign; you're a trusted and valued business partner. We really do care about your success and we'll take the time and effort to understand your needs rather than recommend a cookie cutter solution that doesn't accurately address the challenges that your business faces.
Why outsource my IT operations?
Outsourcing your operations to Spartan Networks helps to lower your total operational costs by reducing the amount of money you would normally pay to a full-time employee. With an employee you pay a yearly salary regardless of the amount of work the employee actually performs. With Spartan Networks you only pay for the amount of time we spend working for you. Plus, if we expect to retain your trust and keep your business we must remain accountable to you. A disgruntled employee might decide to leave your firm and abandon any work in progress, possibly, without providing any documentation about your network infrastructure.
How do we remain accountable?
First, we provide each of our clients with the necessary documentation required to allow any competent network administrator to pick up where we leave off if for some reason you decide in the future to employ the services of another company or cease outsourcing altogether. Second, we provide detailed documentation of the work we perform each month by including with your invoice an additional document that outlines the day and time spent servicing your company and information about exactly what we did during that time. Third, we take responsibility for following up on all email and telephone requests usually within minutes of receiving your query. However our formal guarantee is a response time of no more than four business hours. Fourth, we only perform services that have been authorized by an approved representative of your company. Any recommendations for additional work will be made by one of our staff if necessary but will only be carried out with approval from your firm. Finally, we always outline our expectations and understandings in a formal engagement letter designed to help set expectations for what both Spartan Networks and your company agree to do. This simple agreement allows both organizations to have a clear understanding of exactly what is required of both parties during the term of our business relationship. The engagement letter is not a contract.
What if I already employ an IT staff?
A lot of our business comes from companies just like yours. The IT industry is such that no one can know it all. In those cases we are often called upon to help your existing employees overcome difficult challenges or to assist in the implementation of a complex project and ultimately resolve any technology challenge no matter how daunting it may have seemed before.
Do you offer financing for technology solutions?
Yes! Spartan Networks can finance your technology solution through our strategic alliance with Microsoft Financing. You can finance software, hardware, and services supplied by Spartan Networks. The only catch is you must finance a minimum of $3,000 and Microsoft software must be included in the total solution financed.
What are the benefits of financing my technology solution with you?
Financing with Spartan Networks and Microsoft Financing helps by providing one financing resource for all of your IT needs, whether they are software, services, hardware, or all three. Financing options are convenient and allow you to spread the cost of your technology solutions over an extended period of time and they help preserve your cash resources by allowing you to make predictable monthly payments to one provider instead of many. What is a Business Assessment?
A Business Assessment is an opportunity for Spartan Networks to get to know more about you and your business; the goal behind the assessment is to gain a clear understanding of how you conduct business on a daily basis and what it is that is important to the success of your business. Once we have a clear understanding of what it takes to operate your business it becomes much easier for Spartan Networks to recommend technology solutions that are appropriate for your situation. It is impossible to make sound recommendations without first understanding your needs. Once we have completed a Business Assessment we follow it up with an in-depth Technology Assessment; this assessment is usually conducted during a follow-up appointment. Remember, Spartan Networks offers the Business Assessment to you at no charge. Be sure to contact us today to schedule an appointment.
What is a Technology Assessment?
A Technology Assessment is similar to a Business Assessment except that we identify and evaluate the current status of your existing technology infrastructure. It will focus on what assets are available, how technology is currently used, and gather data needed to satisfy future expectations. Gathering this information helps lay the groundwork for long-term planning, solution design and proposals. It is critical to have Spartan Networks perform a Technology Assessment in the beginning if we are to recommend the most economical and efficient technology solutions for your business. Performing this assessment in the beginning allows us to identify challenges early on in our new relationship with you and helps to avoid disaster before it strikes.
